Vail Ski resort is located approximately 97 miles from Denver, in Eagle County, near the town of Vail. It was established in 1962 and is the most popular of all the Colorado ski resorts, with over 1.6 million visitors a year on average.

Vail is also the largest of all Colorado ski resorts, at 5,289 acres, and second largest in North America. Of it’s 193 marked trails, 31 lifts and 3 terrain parks, about half of it’s terrain caters to beginner and intermediate ski levels. The resort is also very famous for it’s open expanses of expert back bowls.
