Hesperus

Hesperus Mountain is located approximately 350 miles from Denver, in the southwest corner of Colorado. The ski area is situated 12 miles west of the town of Durango (La Plata County), and is one of six Colorado ski resorts in the beautiful San Juan Mountain Range.

This small mountain (about 80 acres) was opened in 1962 and has operated off and on for the last 50 years. Hesperus offers 13 trails, 2 lifts and 1 terrain park. It is also one of the few Colorado ski resorts where you can night ski and ride with 80% of its terrain lit.
