Breckenridge Ski Resort (aka, Breck) is located approximately 82 miles from Denver, in Summit County, in the city of Breckenridge. The resort is owned by Vail Resorts, which also manages 3 other Colorado ski resorts (see Beaver Creek, Keystone and Vail).
Breck received over 1.6 million visitors during their 2011-12 season, making it one of the most popular of all the Colorado ski resorts, second only to Vail.
With it's new expansion to Peak 6 (2013-14 season), adding an additional 543 acres, Breckenridge has grown to an amzing 2,908 skiable/riadeable acres, with 187 marked trails serviced by 33 lifts (now accommodating up to 43,000 people per hour).
When you combine the charming downtown area and night life, shear size of the resort and world class conditions, it makes sense why skiers and snowboarders from all over the world come back to Breckenridge year after year.
